Austin City Limits Music Festival

AMAZING!

Here's the breakdown --

Friday:
Vampire Weekend - a letdown, they're too young
Delta Spirit - a default but pretty good
Mates of State - F'ing awesome! Fighting for my fave.
G Love and Special Sauce - AMAZING entertainment. Fighting for my fave.
The Mars Volta (from afar) - solid

Saturday:
Fleet Foxes - meh
Jose Gonzales - he's wonderful and his band is cute
CSS - AMAZING! Great entertainment!!!
MGMT - a letdown
Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band - VERY enjoyable, Conor looked handsome.

Sunday:
Stars - a letdown
Blues Traveler - a novelty
Okkervil River - default but the band had great chemistry
Tegan and Sara - Beautiful, as per usual... great set list (as if there could really be a bad 'ne)!!

...we skipped all of the headliners... I'm probably mostly ok with it.
It's hard to grab a moment to soak all of this killer music in...

Next up is Iron and Wine on Tuesday, Tegan and Sara on the 13th of October, and Kaki King on the 17th :)

Last night at the Lensic in Santa Fe was hands down the best Concert EVER.

Just sayin'.

MGMT

MGMT has been replaced in the ACL lineup.

MGMT is going to be in Albuquerque... but, of course, it's the same day as Ani DiFranco.
