We go to college.

Kate works for the Attorney General and is putting together a college consumer guide. She needed photos so we attempted to get some for her. There were only 5 of us and with 1 behind the camera and 3 of the 4 being white kids we figured we'd have to have a second go at it so we ended up goofing off on campus for an hour or so.

We finally did it ...

When I tell someone where I live the general response is "you can walk to the Smith's"... I never really thought twice about the comment until last night. After hearing it so much, I finally got up the motivation to walk to Smith's.

Yes, you heard me... we finally did it... we finally walked to Smith's.

A bit of a hassle

This time last year I had the perfect apartment and the perfect roommates.

At the beginning of the year we left our apartment because 5 people in a 2 bedroom was just too much. We got this house... 3 bedroom, 2.75 bath, 1350sf, washer/dryer, 2 car garage, balcony, back yard... the 5 of us fit pretty nicely. We're now breaking our lease... (Leaving details out to prevent bashing one of the members).

We have had the most difficult time communicating with our management company. Figuring that they'd drag their ass on the advertising of the place I posted the place on craigslist. I have since posted an add every day. I finally heard back from Mike, our contact guy and he said that as of recent, they're not advertising if we're still occupying the place, for liability reasons. So now, we have to pay $500 to break the lease, keep up with rent 'til it rents out and find someone to rent the place. Sounds to me like we're pretty much doing their job...

Property management companies are a pain in my arse (not to mention any names... &%^#*)

I miss my old apartment maybe a little too much. I sort of wish I had taken one of the alternate paths...

The Fourth

It's kind of a rare occasion for Amy and I to have a full day off at the same time, without any boys attached. Last night we went on a date with the favorite. We went to dinner and a movie. .. saw Ratatouille and all enjoyed it. We got home, had a beer, watched an episode of Law and Order and went to bed. We woke up and had breakfast together and took T to the park. It was great, part of it due to the fact that we had little contact with other people. :)
